HIV/STI Surveillance Research Center

The HIV/STI Surveillance Research Center, and WHO Collaborating Center for HIV Surveillance, known as HIVHUB, is a training and research center working on HIV public health surveillance among most at risk and vulnerable populations in Iran and internationally.

HIVHUB has been established since 2009. From the beginning, our institute has string collaborations with other national organizations such as Iran Ministry of Health – CDC, and international agencies like World Health Organization (WHO) and UNAIDS.

In 2013, the institute became a WHO Collaborating Center for HIV Surveillance to work closely with WHO and country partners in Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa (MENA) to improve their current HIV surveillance systems and response to the epidemic. We do this through education and training, research and technical assistance and capacity building in Iran and in other developing courtiers in the region and beyond.
