HIV/STI surveillance research center has lots of expertise in responding to epidemics especially in the field of infectious disease, addiction, and high-risk behaviors. Following the initiation of COVID-19 pandemic, our team tried to expand the researches to help Iran and other countries for a better response.
- We developed a dynamic model to predict the number of deaths, infectious, and hospitalization related to COVID-19 in Iran.
- We also, in collaboration with the University of Oxford and 45 countries developed a consortium (CoMo) to the infection model in targeted countries.
- We held an online meeting on “The role of models in predicting the course and control of COVID-19 “. Four lecturers presented in this e-meeting and around 200 participants participated.
- We published several scientific papers on the various aspects of the pandemic.
